About the Role:

IMP Group is seeking an experienced Aircraft Structural Repair Professional to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing First, Second, and Third Level repairs on aircraft structural components and ground support equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess damage, control corrosion, and perform repairs, modifications, and replacements of aircraft structures and structural components using recognized techniques and specialized tools and equipment.
  • Ramp duties include pre/post flight support, marshalling, parking, towing, fueling/defueling, and installation/removal of required mission equipment, as well as crash and salvage response.
  • Fly as necessary in support of maintenance, ferry, and deployment operations.
  • Travel and work at other main operating bases, deployments in support of operations at remote sites, mobile repair parties, and ferry flights.
  • Provide on-the-job training to other employees.
  • Attend training for trade and personnel development, and for qualification/certification purposes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area by sweeping and cleaning hangar, shop, stores, and office areas, removing all debris accumulated by tasks performed.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and directives established by the Company.

Requirements:

  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft structures and structural components, inspection techniques, damage assessment, aircraft materials, and hardware, use of special tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of corrosion control techniques.
  • Able to read and interpret technical documentation such as maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints, and Standard Plant Procedures.
  • Ability to use standard computer programs and specialized ones as may be necessary in the performance of duties.
  • Ability to drive vehicles and tow tractors.
  • Graduate of a recognized aircraft structural repair course or apprenticeship program, and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or be qualified as an aircraft structures technician within the Canadian Armed Forces or equivalent commercial experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in aircraft structural repair is required.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), and Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC-Contract Security Program.
