At IMP Aerospace & Defence, we're seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Technician to join our team in Greenwood, NS. As a key member of our Search and Rescue operations, you will be responsible for performing first and second line aircraft maintenance on the Cormorant Helicopter.

About the Role:

  • Perform First and Second Level maintenance on aircraft mechanical, structural and electrical systems and components, and ground support equipment.
  • Ramp duties include pre/post flight inspection and support, marshalling, parking, towing, fueling/defueling, installation of required mission equipment, aircraft crash and technical response, and aircraft salvage response.
  • Perform ground runs of engines and auxiliary power units, where qualified and authorized.
  • Fly as necessary in support of maintenance, ferry, and deployment operations.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized aircraft maintenance course or apprenticeship program and hold a current Aircraft Maintenance Engineers license or be qualified as an aircraft aviation technician within the Canadian Forces or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, including power plants, flight controls, dynamic systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental systems, basic structures, and power generation and distribution systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as maintenance manuals, work packages, drawings, blueprints, and Standard Plant Procedures.
  • Valid NS Class 5 Driver License, able to drive vehicles, tow tractors, and support vehicles.
