Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs is seeking a highly skilled Child Welfare Advocate Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with First Nations families to provide wraparound support, navigate healthcare and child welfare systems, and build strong family relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate case plans and determine priorities to bring children home
  • Connect families to internal and external resources to improve mental health and wellness
  • Advocate for meaningful contact between parents/caregivers and children
  • Maintain up-to-date records of client files in the database
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Arts Diploma
  • Minimum of 3 years experience working in the Manitoba Child and Family Services system
  • First Nations Doula Training
  • Knowledge of First Nation issues related to child welfare and health services
  • Fluency in the First Nation language is an asset
