About the Role

The successful candidate will provide guidance and advice to First Nations families, working closely with senior lawyers and support staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing holistic wraparound support to enhance access to justice for First Nations families in contact with the Child and Family Services system
  • Assisting in innovative legal research to support broader law reform efforts and promote reconciliation
  • Developing public legal education resources on child protection processes and rights
  • Representing clients in child protection proceedings
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A law degree from an accredited Canadian Law School or equivalent
  • Membership in good standing with the Law Society of Manitoba
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
