About the Role

This term position is available in our Child Health Social Work department, where you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide psychosocial assessments and interventions to individuals, families, and groups. Your expertise will be essential in helping clients cope with health-related issues and navigate the healthcare system effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional psychosocial assessments and interventions to clients, families, and groups
  • Lead transitions of care and demonstrate leadership in the healthcare team
  • Participate as a member of the healthcare team, interpreting social, psychological, emotional, and family problems
  • Perform administrative functions as required by the department
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) from a Canadian Association for Social Work Education (CASWE) accredited school or a Provincially authorized post-secondary program
  • Two years recent and relevant experience preferred
  • Registration with Manitoba College of Social Workers
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
