Manufacturing Specialist

The Manufacturing Operator will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all assigned equipment, machines, tools, fixtures, trunnions, and processes required to manufacture customer products.
This includes set-ups, production counts, downtime, quality, labor reporting, preventative maintenance, and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) requirements, plant safety rules, work rules, and procedures as may apply to duties performed.
In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks being performed, producing high-quality products that meet or exceed customer quality standards, and actively participating in training and continuous improvement activities.
The Manufacturing Operator will also complete assigned paperwork, including scrap, production counts, downtime, quality, labor reporting, and preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with QS9000/ISO/TS16949/ISO14001 quality standards for re-certification purposes.
Apart from this, they will participate in 5S activities by maintaining a clean and orderly work area, collect and report monitoring data in support of the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management system, strive towards meeting company EHS goals, understand and follow all EHS policies, participate on EHS teams and committees, and promote EHS activities.
