Job Title: Retail Store Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Northwest Timbermart. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, including sales, customer service, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
- Authorize the return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to ensure that the store is operating efficiently and effectively.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that the store is well-stocked and that customers have access to the products they need.
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers to ensure that the store is operating smoothly and efficiently.
- Provide customer service and ensure that all customers receive a high level of service.
Requirements:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and to prepare reports.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
