Retail Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at JG's Liquor Store. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales workers, apprentices, and design team members to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assign Sales Workers: Effectively allocate tasks and duties to ensure a smooth and efficient store operation.
- Hire and Train: Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet the needs of our store.
- Authorize Payments: Process payments by cheque and maintain accurate financial records.
- Order Merchandise: Source and purchase merchandise to meet customer demand.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize labor costs.
- Sell Merchandise: Provide excellent customer service and promote sales of our products.
- Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise.
- Organize Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure efficient stock management.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Will train.
- Work Setting: Remote location.
- Supervision: 1 to 2 people.
- Area of Specialization: Retail store.
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is not available.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, ability to distinguish between colours, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, organized, reliability, team player, dependability, excellent written communication, initiative, ability to multitask.
