Key Responsibilities

  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are properly trained and equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure that they meet our high standards.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Order merchandise and ensure that it is properly received and stored.
  • Authorize the return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff members are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help inform our business decisions.
  • Resolve any issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that our store is always stocked with the products our customers want.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of our sales staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail environment.

Work Setting

Retail business.

Work Language

English.

Hours

30 to 44 hours per week.
