At Aviva, we're looking for a skilled Accident Benefits Claims Specialist to join our Healthcare Services team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring timely and equitable resolution of sophisticated Accident Benefit claims.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting insurance contracts and resolving policy coverages in accordance with corporate guidelines
  • Handling Accident Benefits claims according to individual authority, knowledge, and expertise
  • Acquiring investigative reports, independent medical examinations, and statements from insureds and witnesses as required
  • Ensuring all aspects of the claim process are handled optimally and within company guidelines
  • Assisting in resolving claims issues related to interpretations and settlement negotiations
  • Ensuring service levels and quality standards are met by approved specialists

Requirements include:

  • College Diploma or Associate Degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of Accident Benefits insurance claims handling experience
  • Familiarity with other Auto legislation, such as Statutory Accident Benefits and Section B
  • Bilingualism is an asset
  • Large Loss experience is preferred
  • CIP or working towards CIP is required for licensing
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment
