About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Property Claims Appraiser with a strong analytical background and excellent communication skills. Your primary responsibility will be to assess and manage large commercial and personal property losses, working closely with clients and vendors to identify damages, create cost estimates, and ensure timely repairs.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of restoration processes, vendor management, and financial analysis. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities
  • Determine and complete the scope of large losses, preparing detailed repair estimates for damaged buildings.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and gather data to inform appraisal decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing empathetic support throughout the claims process.
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure fair restoration costs and timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless claim resolution.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in post-claim appraisal, preferably with a focus on large losses.
  • Diploma in building appraisal or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Technical expertise in Xactimate estimating software.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
