Job DescriptionThis role will play a vital part in ensuring timely and equitable resolution of sophisticated Accident Benefit claims. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills, be able to interpret insurance contracts, resolve policy coverages, and establish and adjust reserves in accordance with corporate guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Interpret insurance contracts and resolve policy coverages in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Handle Accident Benefits claims according to individual authority, knowledge, and expertise.
- Acquire investigative reports, independent medical examinations, statements from insureds/witnesses, and other specialists as required.
- Educate customers and providers about new auto reform changes (if applicable).
- Ensure all aspects of the claim process are handled optimally and within company guidelines.
- Assist in resolving claims issues related to interpretations, legislation, and settlement negotiations.
- Ensure service levels and quality standards are met by approved specialists.
- Educate insureds about Premiere Healthcare network.
- College Diploma/Associate Degree or similar experience.
- 2+ years of Accident Benefits insurance claims handling experience (required).
- Familiarity with other Auto legislation (Statutory Accident Benefits, Section B, etc.)
- Bilingualism is an asset.
- Large Loss experience is preferred.
- CIP or working towards CIP is required for licensing.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Good organization skills.
