We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Technology Vendor Governance Strategist to join our team at Definity Financial Corporation.

We offer an estimated salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year for this role, depending on location and experience.

•About the Role:

This senior leadership position is responsible for leading the strategic direction and governance of technology vendors. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement vendor management strategies that align with business objectives.

•Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive vendor management plans to ensure alignment with business strategy and risk mitigation.
  • Lead the development of contracts and agreements with technology vendors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to negotiate pricing and terms with vendors.
  • Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to senior leaders on vendor management and contract optimization.
  • Oversee the management of vendor relationships, including performance monitoring and issue resolution.

•Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in vendor management or IT procurement, with a strong focus on technology vendors.
  • 5+ years of experience in people management and team development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in contract lifecycle management, negotiation, and risk assessment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to senior leaders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

•Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in financial services or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of Canadian P&C insurance regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to travel as required (up to 20% of the time).
