Job Title: Chief Cyber Security Operations Strategist

We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Chief Cyber Security Operations Strategist to lead our team in delivering outstanding security services and initiatives to Members of Parliament, the House of Commons Administration, and their partners.

Key Responsibilities

The Chief Cyber Security Operations Strategist will be accountable for ensuring a unified and seamless delivery of security services and initiatives. This includes leading both the Security Operations Center (SOC) and the High-Risk Travel support team, as well as integrating and delivering security services throughout their lifecycle.

The incumbent will establish collaborative, cross-functional, and modern practices and processes to maintain consistent, reliable, and effective security operations. They will drive operational excellence, foster high-performing teams, and lead process improvements within IT operations to enhance service reliability and performance.

The Chief Cyber Security Operations Strategist will also build collaborative relationships with business units to understand requirements and ensure IT operations support organizational priorities effectively.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Information Technology, system engineering or an acceptable combination of formal education, training, and/or experience in relevant fields;
  • Relevant professional security certification in a related information technology domain, considered an asset;
  • Experience managing teams within a Security Operations Center (SOC), overseeing real-time security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response to safeguard critical systems and data;
  • Extensive experience setting strategic direction, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering high-performing team environments;
  • Strong record in driving operational efficiencies and leading process improvements within IT operations teams to enhance service reliability and performance;
  • Significant expertise in resource planning and allocation to balance team workloads, optimize costs, and meet both day-to-day operational needs and strategic project demands;
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Other benefits include:
