Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitalist Physician to join our team at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital (OSMH). As a Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to designated in-patients, working in partnership with other members of the medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide MRP coverage for designated in-patients, utilizing excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills to assess and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Participate in the provision of 24/7 coverage with other hospitalists, ensuring that patients receive timely and effective care.
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the care team and patients' families to facilitate transfer of patient care and ensure continuity of care.
  • Actively participate in education and training programs to develop inpatient acute care skills and stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and guidelines.
  • Use the Electronic Medical Record to its full capacity, seeking additional training as required, to ensure accurate and comprehensive patient documentation.
Requirements
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) unrestricted license that allows the physician to fulfill the requirements of this position.
  • ACLS Training
  • Previous experience in hospital medicine or a related field is preferred.
