We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Support Specialist to join our team at Hometown Furniture & Appliances (Penticton) Ltd. in Penticton, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our retail establishment, ensuring seamless daily operations and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and files, both physical and digital
  • Coordinate and plan daily operations, including scheduling and budgeting
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Train and support staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Assist with payroll administration, including processing and reconciling payments
  • Arrange travel and accommodations for employees and clients as needed
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement new processes and procedures
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, such as business administration or office management
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
