Office Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Office Support Specialist to join our team at Hometown Furniture & Appliances (Penticton) Ltd. in Penticton, BC. As an Office Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team, including opening and distributing mail, planning and controlling budgets, and training staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and distribute mail and other materials
- Plan and control budget and expenditures
- Plan and organize daily operations
- Train staff
- Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
- Answer electronic enquiries
- Compile data, statistics and other information
- Respond to employee questions and complaints
- Oversee payroll administration
- Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
- Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
- Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
- Perform data entry
- Provide customer service
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks
Requirements:
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Availability for the advertised start date
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Willingness to relocate for this position
- Previous experience in this field of employment
