MRI Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI examinations in accordance with established procedures, ensuring high-quality images and providing excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MRI examinations, including receiving and completing requisitions, entering relevant data into the radiology information system, and preparing examination trays and patients for specific procedures.
- Operate computerized imaging equipment, including processing and archiving of acquired data, and monitoring patient during procedures.
- Monitor equipment performance, identify malfunctioning equipment, and notify the Supervisor.
- Participate in the departmental Continuous Quality Improvement/LEAN programs, using established monitoring and auditing methodologies to perform quality assurance checks.
- Maintain designated work area, including checking and cleaning equipment, setting up examination trays for specific procedures, and receiving and stocking supplies in designated areas.
- Certification with CAMRT (Magnetic Resonance Imaging).
- Completion of Intravenous Therapy training course when required by site practice and one (1) year recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BCLS) level.
