MRI Technologist

The MRI Technologist plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the MRI suites, ensuring that patient requisitions meet departmental standards and correlating clinical history with examinations to be performed. This position requires the technologist to perform imaging procedures and patient care duties, while consistently applying all safety rules and techniques applicable to the magnetic and radio frequency fields in use in the MRI environment.
About YouWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Health Technology, Canadian Association of Medical Radiological Technology MRI exams, and CAMRT certification. Previous MRI experience is preferred, and the ability to demonstrate competency in I.V. insertion is essential. The successful candidate will be able to assess diagnostic results, recognize the significance of all structures visualized, and differentiate artifactual from normal or pathological. Excellent patient care skills, effective communication, and adaptability are also required.
HoursThis is a long assignment full-time position, requiring 75 hours biweekly. Call and shift work is required, including evenings, nights, and weekends. The position is approximately 12 months in duration.
Compensation and IncentivesThe successful candidate will be offered a competitive hourly rate of $34.24 - $39.96. In addition, they may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
