Job Description:
We seek an experienced Clinical Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee counseling sessions for clients impacted by addiction and mental health concerns, providing exceptional care and support in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions for clients identifying with addiction and mental health concerns
- Facilitate or co-facilitate weekly group counseling sessions, either virtually or in-person
- Attend regular clinical supervision and participate in staff meetings
- Assemble clinical data for reporting purposes
- Assist with outreach efforts as required
- Provide consultation calls for clients contacting JACS for addictions & mental health concerns
Requirements:
- Three to five years of experience in mental health and addiction counseling
- Master's degree in Social Work or Counselling Psychology required
- Extensive experience with treatment surrounding substance misuse and process addictions
- Experience working with clients at all levels of the recovery continuum
- Virtual counseling experience, including individual and group therapy via Zoom and/or Cliniko
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Absorbency in responding rapidly and effectively to crisis situations
- Knowledge of community-based treatment programs and resources specific to addiction
