About the Role:

The B.C. College of Nurses and Midwives is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Analyst to join our Information Technology team. As an Infrastructure Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing our Azure infrastructure, Citrix environment, and Helpdesk function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Information Technology team in managing the Azure infrastructure, Citrix environment, and Helpdesk function.
  • Provide support to the Consortium via the Service Desk by resolving information infrastructure related helpdesk tickets and escalating issues and requests as needed.
  • Ensure the ongoing support of systems and all network hardware, virtual and physical, and software infrastructure.
  • Keep systems secure and ensure all systems and data are protected, backed up, and recoverable.
  • Support and participate in the development of current and future information systems projects.
  • Liaise with the applications team to provide feedback on operational issues.
  • Design, develop, and implement privacy compliance programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on programs and projects involving the handling and sharing of information.
  • Escalate to the Privacy Office and work in consultation with relevant stakeholders to define BCCNM's protection goals and apply and operationalize these goals with business process owners.
  • Analyze and propose development and implement organization-wide privacy policies and procedures.
  • Ensure clarity on what the College sees as FOI requests and design college-wide processes and training to centrally track and respond to FOI requests.
  • Collaborate with staff, IT security, and IM risk assessment to maintain organizational compliance with provincial laws regarding privacy, freedom of information, security, electronic transactions, and protection of information assets.
  • Complete privacy impact assessments (PIAs), support the completion of risk assessments, and conduct related ongoing compliance monitoring activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years' technical experience in IT infrastructure.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to simultaneously manage several projects with competing deadlines with a focus on quality, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Recent experience with Azure, Citrix, and virtualization is an asset.
