T-Net British Columbia is seeking a permanent, full-time Infrastructure Operations Analyst. This role will offer leadership and advanced technical expertise to assist in the planning and management of IT services for our employees and business partners.

As an Infrastructure Operations Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Infrastructure Operations team, providing oversight, guidance, and technical expertise.
  • Acting as the primary contact for initiatives such as Transition to Operations, Systems Observability, and Performance Management.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective support for our infrastructure, platforms, and applications.
  • Implementing enhancements for the Infrastructure Operations team.
  • Identifying and transitioning new tasks from internal teams to the Operations team.
  • Coordinating high-priority incidents with a focus on minimizing Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR).
  • Onboarding and training new team members while offering ongoing training and mentorship to existing staff.
  • Reviewing and following up on operational events and ad-hoc requests.
  • Monitoring alerts, refining monitoring processes, documenting alert handling procedures, and identifying new alerting needs.
  • Producing and maintaining clear and precise operational documentation.
  • Planning and managing the schedule for Technical Support Specialists to ensure 24/7 coverage.
  • Organizing and leading team meetings and ad-hoc sessions.

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to guide, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and adaptability.
  • Experience with observability tools (e.g., Splunk, AKIPS, Nagios, SCOM, Dynatrace, AppResponse).
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management best practices (ITIL, incident, problem, and change management).
  • Knowledge of server administration, virtualization, monitoring tools, and networking.
  • Effective communication skills, both technical and non-technical, across various channels and to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.

Your qualifications likely include post-secondary education in information technology and several years of progressive experience in planning, supporting, and managing computer technology.

  • Resident - you will work at your primary in-office headquarters on all scheduled workdays.
  • Hybrid 8 - you will work a minimum of 8 days per month at your primary in-office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote.
  • Hybrid 10 - you will work a minimum of 10 days per month at your primary in-office headquarters (typically one week in/one week out or up to 3 days per week). The remaining days will be remote.
  • Mobile - you will work remotely or in the field on scheduled workdays, with the requirement to be at your primary on-site headquarters by exception only.
