Company Overview

The Community Garden Society of Inuvik is a dynamic organization seeking a seasoned Greenhouse Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our greenhouse and hydroponic facility.

Salary

$37,000 per year ($30/hour + $7/hour Northern Allowance), with flexible hours totaling 40 hours per week.

Job Description

As Greenhouse Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning and overseeing production, maintaining accurate financial records, coordinating staff, and ensuring facility maintenance. You will also collaborate with other staff to respond to phone calls, emails, and social media messages, and prepare quarterly reports containing information on feedback, opportunities for improvement, project recommendations, and production plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Post-secondary education in business management/administration or relevant experience.
  • Research, Analytical, and Administrative Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills, strategic thinking, knowledge of business plan development, cash flow planning, analysis, and record keeping.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, prioritize accordingly, and maintain accurate financial records.
