Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced individual to perform day-to-day plant maintenance and operations. As a Casual Plant Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining the Inuvik LNG facility, performing routine plant maintenance, and ensuring overall equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant/unit performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of plant/system logbooks and unit downtime logs.
  • Operate diesel engines, turbines, and other equipment as required.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-shift teams and management regarding operational status and potential issues.
  • Assist in system restoration following disturbances, including manual restoration if necessary.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company standards and protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of experience in electrical/mechanical operation in an industrial setting.
  • Diesel generator or power generation experience is considered an asset.
  • Computer skills for administrative tasks and reporting systems.
  • Ability to work shift schedules and hold a valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent).
