We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader, Visitor Services to join our team at the War Museum.
About the Role:
The Team Leader, Visitor Services will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day performance of the Hosts and Program Interpreters, assisting in their training, providing coaching and offering support to the visitor services team in the operations and delivery of the day-to-day services of the War Museum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of Hosts and Program Interpreters to ensure excellent customer service and a positive visitor experience;
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the visitor services team;
- Provide coaching and feedback to team members to improve performance and achieve goals;
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and delivery of services;
- Monitor and analyze visitor feedback and make recommendations for improvement;
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in visitor services and museum operations.
Requirements:
- 6 months of relevant work experience in supervising staff and scheduling, supervising the delivery of services to a diverse clientele, and dealing with visitors in a complex institutional environment;
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team;
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications;
- Knowledge of museum operations, customer service principles, and staff supervision practices.
Education: College diploma in the field of administration, tourism, or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
