Job Title: Visitor Services Coordinator

About the Role:

The Bank of Canada is seeking a highly motivated and organized Visitor Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Visitor Services team, you will play a central role in delivering exceptional visitor experiences and educational programs at our Museum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver educational programs for visitors, both in-person and virtually
  • Coordinate the daily operation of the Museum, including scheduling and assigning tasks to Museum Guides
  • Assist with the development and implementation of curriculum-based educational programs
  • Support the Interpretation and Outreach team in the development of virtual and onsite educational programs
  • Provide input into the recruitment and performance evaluation of Museum interpretive staff
  • Contribute to the evaluation of visitors' experiences by gathering statistics and working on various short-term assignments

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., education, public history, Museum education & interpretation studies, museum studies)
  • Minimum of one year of work experience coordinating services to the public and a minimum of two years of relevant programming experience (in person and virtual) in a museum or public setting
  • Language requirement: English and French essential (bilingual) with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in second official language
