Job Title: Visitor Services Coordinator

About the Role:

The Bank of Canada is seeking a highly motivated and organized Visitor Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Visitor Services team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional visitor experiences and promoting a better understanding of the Bank's mission and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver educational programs and activities for visitors, including guided tours, workshops, and interactive exhibits.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of curriculum-based educational programs for schools and other groups.
  • Collaborate with the Interpretation and Outreach team to develop and deliver virtual and onsite educational programs and resources.
  • Provide training and support to Museum Guides and other staff members on best practices for program delivery and visitor engagement.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of visitor experiences and provide feedback to improve programs and services.
  • Assist with the recruitment and performance evaluation of Museum Guides and other staff members.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field, such as education, public history, or museum studies.
  • Minimum of one year of experience coordinating services to the public and two years of relevant programming experience in a museum or public setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language proficiency in English and French, with a minimum starting level of functional (level 4) in the second official language.
