">About the Role
">The Director, Total Rewards will play a critical role in shaping and executing the WSIB's Total Rewards strategy. This includes developing and implementing compensation, benefits, and recognition programs that align with the organization's strategic objectives and Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
">Key Responsibilities
">• Total Rewards Strategy: Develop and implement a competitive and relevant Total Rewards strategy aligned with the WSIB's strategic objectives and EVP, including compensation and benefits philosophy, recognition programs, and AI-enabled tools to enhance the employee experience.
">• Total Rewards Administration: Manage the daily operations of Compensation and Benefits programs, ensuring alignment with organizational design and compliance with legislative changes.
">• Consultation and Collaboration: Serve as an expert advisor to senior management, providing strategic guidance on Total Rewards programs and policies, including support during collective bargaining processes.
">• EVP Application: Lead the integration of the EVP into Total Rewards offerings, supporting initiatives that communicate the organization's commitment to employee well-being and value.
">• Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Engage with strategic vendors to support benchmarking, best practices, and innovative program development.
">Candidate Profile
">The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of HRMS systems, particularly within Compensation and Benefits modules, and have hands-on experience in leading HR transformations. A strong foundation in project management and change management is essential, along with exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.
">Qualifications
">An undergraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field is required, along with a CHRL designation or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation. At least 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a management or leadership role focused on Total Rewards strategy, is necessary.
