We are currently seeking a Corporate Law Support Specialist with solid work experience and educational background to join our Business Law practice. The ideal candidate will be able to work well both independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of basic corporate record keeping procedures such as annual reports and dividend resolutions.
  • Incorporating corporations and societies.
  • Assisting with business purchase and sale matters.
  • Drafting and transcribing legal documents and general correspondence.
  • Coordinating client meetings and keeping calendars up to date.
  • File management, including organizing and managing documents, updating binders, and filing.
  • Maintaining a bring forward system.
  • Maintaining open and closed files as required.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working as an LAA in British Columbia, with experience in corporate/commercial law.
  • Proficient in Word and Outlook. Experience with ALF would be helpful.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with client information.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a variety of benefits, including:
