Business Development Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team at Aecon Nuclear. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our nuclear business, including identifying new opportunities and building strong relationships with our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and revenue in domestic, US, and international markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop objectives and strategies in support of overall nuclear business development goals.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the Aecon Nuclear strategic business plan.
- Track and report on industry events, partnerships, and announcements to stay ahead of the competition and identify new opportunities.
- Pursue emerging market opportunities in nuclear, including small modular reactors, decommissioning, and waste management.
- Prepare and execute business development action plans for target markets and clients.
- Manage and monitor opportunities, pursuits, and sales activity from identification to award of business.
- Provide advice and liaison with senior members of the Operating Sector (Nuclear) and clients.
- Develop and maintain a robust monitoring system to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Collect and analyze data to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- P.Eng. or equivalent technical background.
- Commercial knowledge and understanding of contract risks.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
