Policy Formulation and Implementation Specialist

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a skilled Policy Formulation and Implementation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Court Services Division, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring policies that support the division's goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement policies that align with the division's strategic plan and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff on policy development and implementation, ensuring that policies are consistently applied and communicated effectively.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify policy gaps and areas for improvement, and develop recommendations to address these issues.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform policy development and implementation, and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain policy documents, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring that they are up-to-date, accurate, and accessible to staff.
To be successful in this role, you will have a University Degree in a related discipline, such as public administration, policy analysis, or a related field. You will also have several years of experience in policy development, implementation, and analysis, with a strong understanding of the Government of Nova Scotia's policies and procedures.
You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You will also have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop recommendations to inform policy decisions.
