We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. As a Registered Nurse in our Adult Psychiatry department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide nursing assessment and treatment services for adults with psychiatric illnesses and mental disorders
* Develop and implement care plans using individual and group therapies
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maximize community functioning and reduce acute care services
* Participate in educational services, planning, and policy recommendations
* Provide psychiatric nursing perspective to the team in the development of services within the catchment area
Requirements
* Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant
* Current CPR and Blood Glucose Monitoring certification
* Postgraduate psychiatric nursing course for RNs, Canadian Nurses Association certification program in psychiatry, or equivalent combination of training or experience
