Job Overview

Northern Health Authority is seeking an Employed Student Nurse to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity for nursing students to gain valuable experience in a supernumerary capacity while completing their studies.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annumAbout the Role

The Employed Student Nurse will provide nursing care to patients/residents/clients under the direction of an operational manager and regulatory supervisor. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a variety of healthcare settings across Northern Health, gaining experience and developing their skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Active registration and good standing in a BCCNM-approved Nursing Program
  • Successful completion of Adult Medical-Surgical rotation (RN program) or Acute Psychiatric rotation (RPN Program)
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
