Job Summary

Northern Health Authority is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary adult care team at the University Hospital of Northern BC. As a key member of our team, you will provide nursing assessment and treatment services for adults suffering from various psychiatric illnesses and mental disorders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessment and treatment services for adults with psychiatric illnesses and mental disorders
• Develop and implement care plans using individual and/or group therapies
• Liaise with other health team members and community agencies
• Participate in educational services, planning, and policy recommendations
• Provide psychiatric nursing perspective to the team in service development

Requirements

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant
• Current CPR and Blood Glucose Monitoring certification
• Post-graduate psychiatric nursing course for RNs, Canadian Nurses Association certification program in psychiatry, or equivalent combination of training or experience
