Clinical Psychiatric Nurse

In this position, you will work under the general direction of the Team Leader and collaborate with a multidisciplinary adult care team to develop and implement care plans. You will utilize appropriate forms of individual and group therapies to maximize community functioning and reduce acute care services utilization. Additionally, you will participate in educational services, planning, program development, and policy recommendations.
The ideal candidate will possess good judgment and organizational skills, knowledge of the DSM IV, and the ability to interpret the Mental Health Act. They will also be able to provide work direction to others, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and assess and deal with emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Provide nursing assessment and treatment services for adults with psychiatric illnesses
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Participate in educational services, planning, and policy recommendations

Qualifications:
• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN registrant
