About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Design Engineer to join our team at TalentSphere Staffing Solutions. As a key member of our infrastructure engineering design team, you will be responsible for leading and managing structural engineering projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage structural engineering projects, ensuring all deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement integrated engineering solutions.
  • Utilize tools and software to perform structural analysis and simulations.
  • Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Address and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Review and approve design documents, calculations, and project deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on structural engineering matters.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Produce technical reports and memos to support design.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and PEng. required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in steel bridge construction and design, along with demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Engineering Standards.
  • Ability to optimize designs and product costs to help win projects against competitors.
  • Familiar with structural design software and drawing tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Solidworks, SAP and similar), ability to adapt to new software packages.
  • Knowledge of applicable design codes.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to create alternative and innovative solutions to problems.
  • Excellent time management and project management skills.
