Job Title: Carpenter - Residential Construction

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Red Star Homes Ltd. as a Residential Construction Carpenter.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing layouts, measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials to build residential houses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of experience in residential construction or a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor
