About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Red Star Homes Ltd. as a key member of our residential construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on residential building projects. The role will require the ability to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and outdoors.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
