Job Title: Carpenter - Residential Construction

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Red Star Homes Ltd. as a Residential Construction Carpenter.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials. This includes building foundations, installing floor beams, laying subflooring, and erecting walls and roof systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on residential construction. The ideal candidate will be able to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and outdoors.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and outdoors.
