About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Red Star Homes Ltd. as we continue to grow and expand our residential construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts in accordance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials, to construct residential structures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to create safe and durable living spaces.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to complete the construction process.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work at heights, in dusty conditions, and outdoors, requiring physical stamina and adaptability.
  • Handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals and maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Reliability, accuracy, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
