The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused IT Helpdesk Technician to join our team at the shíshálh Nation. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective support to staff, resolving hardware and software issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues, using technical guides and manuals to research and implement solutions.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on the use of computer systems and software, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Record and track support requests using our helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring that all issues are documented and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure that our systems and infrastructure are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements, applying this knowledge to improve our systems and services.
Requirements
  • Strong technical skills, with experience in hardware and software support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and core Microsoft products.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract (an asset).
