Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director, Workplace Health and Safety to lead our Workplace Safety & Prevention and Disability Management portfolios. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will provide strategic leadership and expertise to drive results and improve health and safety outcomes across our province-wide programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Workplace Safety & Prevention and Disability Management teams
  • Develop and implement long-term plans to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure cross-functional teams are integrated and collaborative
  • Drive results through integrating practice and approaches across PHSA, building on best practices and extending them to all
  • Lead staff in growing partnerships with clients and facilitating consensus to plan and deliver on specific programs and services
  • Oversee the portfolio teams to provide expert counsel, high-quality services, and embody PHSA values
Requirements
  • Master's degree in occupational health, human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressively more senior experience, with a minimum of 5 years at a leadership level
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the historic and ongoing impacts of settler colonialism on Indigenous Peoples in social and health contexts
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legislative obligations and provincial commitments within Workplace Health and Safety contexts
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including entrepreneurial-style leadership and ability to drive change
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with ability to think critically and influence decision-making at a senior level
