About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Pizzaiolo Restaurant. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and Implement Operational Procedures

Develop and implement effective methods to meet work schedules, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Supervise and Coordinate Kitchen Staff

Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate and manage the inventory of ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet demand.

Ensure Quality Control

Ensure that our food and service meet the highest quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Address Customer Concerns

Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that our customers receive excellent service.

Maintain Records and Reports

Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, preparing and submitting reports as required.

Establish Work Schedules

Establish and manage work schedules for kitchen staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage to meet demand.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees

Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.

Support for Youths

Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.

Support for Indigenous People

Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Support for Visible Minorities

Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Language

Fluent in English.

Work Schedule

35 to 40 hours per week.
