Job Summary
As a seasoned Production Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our northern GTA facility, driving operational excellence and maximizing organizational growth and profitability. Collaborating with the executive team, you will be responsible for directing and leading plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage manufacturing operations to achieve effective and efficient use of facilities and human capital.
  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development in a way that supports a positive work culture and models the company's vision and values.
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for safety, production, and quality standards, working closely with supervisors and safety teams.
  • Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight, and repair expenses.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or submit requests for adjustments when necessary.
  • Constantly improve production flow of all products, assist in developing plant layout, and plan rearrangements of facilities, equipment, and operations.
  • Coordinate plant activities through strategic planning and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve critical business objectives.
  • Hire, train, develop, and mentor a team.
  • Responsible for plant-level financial management, purchasing, inventory, capital expenditures, and managing monthly P&L for performance to budgets.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally with some exposure to industrial environments.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing operations leadership experience.
  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering or related disciplines is preferred.
  • Relevant leadership experience directly managing a P&L.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing process improvement techniques and methodologies.
  • LEAN manufacturing and/or production process experience is a must.
  • Superior motivational skills and the ability to train and drive initiatives to the production team.
  • Strong knowledge of business, finance, quality control systems, and standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven capabilities in operations/supply chain management, lean manufacturing/operational excellence, and policy deployment.
