Business Development Manager

Our story began in 1986 with a simple yet powerful concept: combining microbiology with cutting-edge technology to eliminate a significant healthcare issue – HIV acquired through needle-stick injuries. In Australia, we successfully implemented this concept, achieving an 80+ percent reduction in disposal-related needlestick injuries nationwide.
We're now seeking an energetic and results-driven Account Manager to take ownership of a crucial book of business in the Ottawa area. This role offers significant growth opportunities, with the chosen candidate responsible for the existing customer portfolio, providing exceptional customer service, and driving new business development.
The Account Manager will play a critical part in driving maximum value within our acute care customers by focusing on client retention and account development in our rapidly growing customer base (Hospitals). Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing customer account strategies that align with defined key business metrics, including client retention, revenue growth, cost savings, and profitability
- Becoming a trusted advisor within your portfolio of customers by deeply understanding their business and aligning their needs to our solutions
- Project Management and problem-solving to drive outcomes inter-departmentally for the customer
- Ongoing in-service education with clinical staff on our products and services related to safety, sustainability, efficiency, compliance, and education
- Providing product expertise across our full service offering
- Assisting with waste policy capture, design, review, annual assessment, and policy adjustment aligned with strategic goals
