Job Summary


The York University is seeking an E-learning Curriculum Developer to administer pedagogical and instructional support services to all instructors, students, and staff. The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise in planning and direction of effective online courses and participate in design, development, delivery, and assessments of course material.


About the Role


This position supports both the Continuing Professional Education area as well as the York University English Language Institute (YUELI). As an E-learning Curriculum Developer, you will work closely with faculty members to develop high-quality e-learning content that meets the needs of our diverse student body.


Key Responsibilities


- Provide instructional design advisory services in an academic environment.
- Develop effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Design and develop learning solutions in a range of delivery formats, including adaptive learning.
- Experience developing programs in the technology field and/or highly technical areas such as accounting is preferred.
- Conduct needs assessment to recommend effective learning solutions.
- Participate in project management using formal methodologies and appropriate tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with institutional goals.


Required Skills and Qualifications


- Advanced LMS experience, with Moodle experience being an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of AODA is required.
- Experience using various adaptive learning software platforms such as OLI, Aleks, Lumina Datamatics is an asset.
- Strong presentation and training skills are essential.
