Faculty Position in Clinical Neuropsychology

We invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor in Clinical Neuropsychology at Simon Fraser University's Department of Psychology.

About the Position

The successful candidate will contribute to the university's research excellence through a rigorous research program, teaching courses in undergraduate and graduate programs, and supervising graduate students. The department seeks candidates who will enhance existing strengths in clinical neuropsychology.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in general cognitive assessment, neuropsychological assessment, and/or neurocognitive disorders in adult and older adults.
  • Contribute to the development of the department's clinical neuropsychology track.
  • Supervise graduate students and conduct research in clinical neuropsychology or a related field.
Requirements
  1. A doctoral degree in Psychology from a CPA- or APA-accredited institution at the time of appointment.
  2. Specialized training in neuropsychological evaluation with expertise in adult and/or older adult populations.
  3. Eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists of British Columbia and ability to maintain registration throughout employment.
  4. Demonstrated interest and/or expertise in research related to clinical neuropsychology or a related field.
Desirable Skills
  • Potential to contribute to the teaching excellence in the Department's Clinical Psychology Program.
  • Skills or experiences that can help enhance the department's openness and responsiveness to diversity.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health and dental plans, retirement savings plan, and paid vacation time.
