Clinical Leadership Role
**Job Summary:**
CapitalCare is seeking a skilled Nurse Leader to join our team. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, managing staff assignments, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.
**Responsibilities:**
* Provide clinical supervision to the care team, utilizing nursing process, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
* Manage staff assignments of Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and Health Care Aides
* Determine when to assign and supervise the performance of Restricted Activities
* Collaborate with families and other internal and external customers to ensure seamless care delivery
**Qualifications:**
* Registration with CARNA or CRPNA and current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS-HCP) certification
* Canadian Nurses Association Certification in Gerontological Nursing or other relevant specialty (asset)
* Two years' nursing experience (strongly preferred)
* Computer experience to access, enter, and update information on electronic information systems
**Competencies:**
* Knowledge of nursing clinical best practice standards/protocols and nursing practice fundamentals
* Demonstrates respect and professionalism with staff, residents, families, and others
* Ability to create an empowering work environment and supports knowledge transfer
* Complies with Health Professions Act regulations and ensures continuing competence
**Compensation:**
* $54.46 per hour as per the UNA Collective Agreement
