Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Northern Health. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive high-quality care.
- Performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures
- Preparing patients for examinations
- Operating nuclear medicine equipment
- Monitoring patients during procedures
- Preparing, dispensing, and administering radiopharmaceuticals
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, medical staff, and members of the interdisciplinary team
- Strong critical thinking skills, including the ability to integrate and evaluate pertinent data to problem-solve and make decisions effectively
