Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Medical Imaging Specialist to join our Nuclear Medicine department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, preparing patients for examination, operating nuclear medicine equipment, and monitoring patients during procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic Procedures: Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with established departmental policies and protocols.
  • Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examination by explaining the procedure, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computers, to capture high-quality images and provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Quality Control: Perform routine quality control tests on imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.

Requirements

  • Education: Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program recognized by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and medical staff using verbal, written, and computer communication means. Proficiency in using EMR, RIS, and Windows-based systems is essential.
  • Certifications: Current certification from CAMRT or equivalent professional organization is required.
